Traveling Alone
The thought of traveling alone as a single female can often create feelings of fear or insecurity and be quite overwhelming. During my travels in Antarctica I had the opportunity to meet a very special woman from England who proved to be quite the opposite. My fellow traveller is 76 years old and began her journey in England. Alone she ventured to the southern most point of Argentina, to embark on a 3 week cruise to Antarctica – one of the last destinations on her bucket list. She is a very experienced traveler and often tours with a group of women that she has met on previous vacations. They enjoy each others company, the camraderie and friendship immensely.
