Skin Cancer There are different types of skin cancer, and early treatment can result in cures for them all. Basal cell and squamous cell are common non-melanoma skin cancers. The most lethal one is melanoma, which targets the cells that create a person’s skin coloring. They can be inherited, and may increase with overexposure to the sun.
