Redefining Odds at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games
The 2016 Rio Olympic Games were a huge milestone for female athletes as they surpassed all expectations, and for Canada, surpassed men in the medal count! Superstars athletes such as Penny Oleksiak and Simone Biles became household names after their incredible performances on the world stage. Following the Olympic Games comes the Paralympic Games, which I’m sure will also set the stage for records to be broken and new superstars to be born. I was recently speaking with a Canadian Paralympic Athlete and her story has inspired me to share it.
