Tennis anyone? With Wimbledon, the oldest tennis tournament in the world, underway, I thought it would be fun to take a look at tennis fashion and how far it has come. When heading out to play a tennis match, you probably wouldn’t think to put on a corset, floor length skirt, long sleeved blouse and belt but that is precisely what female tennis players were wearing in the early 1900’s. Compare that to the cutting edge fashions of today’s tennis superstars and it is easy to see that tennis fashion has truly evolved. Traditional tennis whites started to share the spotlight with pastels in the 80’s with tennis greats like Chris Evert and Martina Navaratilova. Taking it a step further, the colourful outfits worn by 90’s girls like Steffi Graf and Monica Seles paved the way for the outrageous fashions
