Although most of the attention is focused on sports such as track and field, gymnastics, diving etc, other hard working athletes deserve some attention as well. You may or may not know that Canada and the USA have assembled very strong competitive equestrian teams for the games this year. Of great importance to Team Canada is the fact that only one qualifying spot is available for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil. Team USA poses the greatest threat to Canada. Dressage teams with a mixed combination of grand prix (big tour) and small tour riders are eligible to qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
