At the age of 94, Iris Apfel is an endless source of inspiration. With her eclectic sense of style the interior designer, who did design work at the White House for nine presidents, is a role model of creativity. In 2005, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City premiered an exhibition about Apfel titled Rara Avis (Rare Bird): The Irreverent Iris Apfel.
